so, this was a sort of Vietnam era OTH radar maybe, the array  

(Russuians did it better - well at least were more annoying for their motorboating clicks up and down the SW bands)

And I know what the russian OTH radar is.  I would not say that they did it better, just that they did it too!   The United States has its own OTH, stationary radars, as well as the mobile Navy fire control radar which is very similar in nature, but mounted on ships.

The Russian OTH antenna array has appeared in at least on movie, that had nothing to do with it being a deactivated OTH and may have appeared in more than one movies.
