Currently to noise from drilling and construction of refurbishment of the condo unit next door to mine is so loud, the vibrations are knocking things off my shelves. Nothings broken yet. A months work they said.

Are there no rules about construction /decoration work? For instance the development I live in does not allow work before 10am, after 5pm and no work at all weekends and Thai holidays.

Yes, naturally. 

Bought a condo years ago in China nice area walk across to mall. 

6 months later they built a new train line and it was noise all day and all night continually for 8 months....arrrr
