CCTV footage in Bangkok showed the moment that a motorcyclist collided with a car and came off his bike.

As the driver of the car and several others attempted to help him much worse was to come.

An approaching car ignored frantic efforts for them to slow down and ran over the injured rider.

The rider was then dragged 800 meters along the road before coming loose.

He survived without broken bones but needed 50 stitches. Now he wants the person who went over him caught.

He believes they must have known he was under the wheels of their vehicle.

Sai Mai police in Bangkok are investigating the incident that occurred around 2am on Sunday.

The footage was posted by the younger brother of the victim on the "Ole Somphop" page on Facebook.

Wiwat told Sanook that his brother was going home after visiting a restaurant following work and was involved in a collision with a black car as he was about to turn into his estate.

The driver got out to help and other people were soon helping too. Then a car that he thought was either a Mitsubishi or a Mercedes Benz ran over his brother and dragged him to the foot of a bridge 800 meters away.

He said his brother was fully conscious right up until the time rescue services arrived and he passed out.

Chutima the driver of the black car went to help the victim at the bridge and ensured that he got safely to hospital.

Chutima told Sanook that she and several other people were waving to oncoming traffic to slow down and pass around the injured man. She did not want to move him for fear that he had broken bones.

After a taxi went on the inside to avoid the man a car approached at speed. Their frantic efforts to get it to slow down were to no avail and the driver went over the injured man.

Chutima said the area was well lit, there were four or five people waving and the driver must have seen the man in the road but carried on regardless.

The other people managed to jump out of the way.

Sai Mai police said they are studying CCTV from the housing estate and other areas to find the silver car that they believe is a Mitsubishi.

They have no number plate, however, to help in their investigation.

Reminds me of an incident a few years ago where a cop was dragged under a very expensive car by a rich, drunk and out of it upstart and they are still trying to find him.

Yes they are to be commended for all the non stop effort they are putting into that
