East Pattaya ‘set on fire’ for emergency drill

PATTAYA:--Emergency personnel joined East Pattaya residents in practicing their response to a home fire on Khao Talo Soi 16.

 

Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit opened the Aug. 23 exercise for police, firefighters, paramedics, local hospitals, village-defense volunteers and residents.

 

The simulation revolved around a house fire on Khao Talo Soi 16. Firefighters went inside to battle the flames while rescuers looked for trapped victims.

 

A triage center was set up outside the home for first aid while ambulances took the “victims” to the hospital.

 

Mai said practicing such scenarios is essential to local safety as many organizations are involved and must coordinate their response.

Commendable - practice makes perfect.  Hopefully none of the fire crews were trying to make it up Pattaya Tai; then across Sukhumvit; then across ANY level crossing junction.

Just thought of a way to slve many of Pattaya's problems.

Re-name a Soi as Pudding Lane and open a bread shop.

It did come about because of building standards and codes from 1666. ??
