BANGKOK, 31st August 2018 (NNT) - State agencies and educational institutions are raising awareness of the upcoming ban on products containing trans fat, which will come into effect after September.

Supattra Kosayakanont, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, recently chaired a seminar for students in the Faculty of Home Economics. Experts in food chemistry, nutrition, and cooking provided facts and insights into the ban on trans fat.

Trans fat is partially hydrogenated and increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The Ministry of Public Health has issued an announcement banning the import and distribution of foods containing trans fats, which are currently available in products such as white butter, margarine, cookies, crackers, snacks, and fast food. The university will also impose its own food regulations on campus.

I can see them all going on a crash diet already, as 'Trans Fat 0g' would probably mean here: 'No overweight katoeys'.

Sounds like transphobia to me.
