A non imm O at any Thai consulate will require you to tender the following documents:

1-2 passport photos

1 filled out Thai visa application with the photo(s) stuck or stapled to the form

2 photocopies of the front page (your photo page) of your passport signed by you

2,000 Thai baht or it equivalent

1 copy of your marriage certificate accompanied by the original certificate

1 copy of your wife's ID card signed by her and you

1 copy of your wife's House Registration Certificate signed by her and you

(Single Entry Only)

They WILL compare the original of your marriage certificate with the copy and of course you will have to sign everything to verify that they are real copies of genuine documents.

The Singapore Thai Embassy does it seems ask for proof of the 400 k most don't.  Good luck!

The above post is not what has been posted by any other member of this forum. I can not believe that a home register is going to be required by "any Thai Consulate". Each Consulate sets what they want to see.

A copy of the wife's house registration was demanded 3 weeks ago at Savannakhet and 3 years ago at Khota Bharu in Malaysia.

It is best to take an excess of documents rather than be delayed and have to ask for original copies of them to be sent to you. The list of documents I suggested is what I used including my son's original thai birth certificate and of course a copy to get a new Non imm O in Savannakhet!

Maybe I should have said a list of suggested documents the majority of which will be sufficient for you to apply for a non imm O visa.

Isn't this just good visa run planning?

Not so Penang consulate require bank details for a 90 day Non O confirmed by both e-mail and phone, they do not give out multiple any more.
