Good afternoon,

A long time member but hardly post,

My Non-O extension ends on the 9th October, can I go in after the 10th of September to extend it? Am I right reading that it can be done within the last 30 days?

Required:

TM 7 Application

1 Photo (4 x 6 cm).

Copy of passport, main page, visa, TM 6 arrival / departure card.

Copy of marriage certificate.

Copy of Kor Ror 2 (long tabien) from Amphur office.

Copy of house registration (blue book / tabien baan).

Copy of wifes ID card.

Letter from bank to prove 400,000 Baht in bank for at least 2 months.

Map location of house, hand drawn.

Photo's of marriage / at house / in front of house and so on.

Fee1900 Baht to pay for it!!

Am I missing anything?

Thanks forum

You can do it up to 30 day or even 45 days at some offices.

Some offices want the Kor Ror 2 to be recently updated. Twenty baht at any Amphoe.

Copies of your updated bank book to prove the 2 months in the bank.

You don't need photos of your marriage ceremony. One photo must show you and your wife with house number shown it.

You will need 2 completed TM7 forms and 2 sets of copies and photos unless doing it at Chaeng Wattana immigration.

Thanks Ubonjoe for your prompt reply,

Thank you also for confirming the 30 days or even 45 days before rule.

Last year they accepted the old (original) Kor Ror 2, hopefully it will be the same this time.

You mentioned copies of my updated bank book to prove the 2 months in the bank. The bank KTB does all that photocopying when we get the letter for a 100 Baht fee downstairs at Chaeng Wattana

Got six pictures in and in front of the house same as we did last year, (obviously not the same pictures)

Will go on the 11th September then and post our experience here,

Regards,

Through the application of my Sherlock Holmes skills I have been able to infer from this sentence that your local immigration office is Chaengwattana. ?

That being the case, I can confirm that that particular office allows applications for annual extensions of stay to be submitted 45 days in advance of the current permission to stay expiring.

Just a quick question

Copy of passport, main page, visa, TM 6 arrival / departure card.

Do I need to copy every page of the passport or just the non o extension , from last year, page?

I understand that I need a copy of the main page, & TM 6 arrival / departure card, but I am not sure about all the pages.

Since visas are not extended I assume you got a extension of stay..

You will need copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp,  your most recent extension of stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

Update

All went smoothly, extension was granted without any hiccups.

ubonjoe's reply regarding copies of the passport

'You will need copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp,  your most recent extension of stay stamp and TM6 departure card"

Actually they needed every single page that has a stamp or a visa on it photocopied plus the photo page and the TM6 departure card.

Besides that, everything else listed above in the requirements post was spot on.

Very friendly and accommodating officer she smiled and joked with my wife, just having a chitchat.

Thanks forum
