Applying for a Non O visa based on UK State pension

I'm about to apply for a Non O based on my UK State pension. I'm asking people who have already done this... what docs were required? did you apply by post or go to the embassy in London? were there any issues or problems I should be aware of.

I applied by post ,took less than a week.

I sent the Works and Pensions letter showing How your Benefit is made up, also bank statement showing your pension payment into your bank account.
