I know locally of one Thai lady who is being 'advised' by a local expat not to use VFS in Bangkok but to get her boyfriend, in UK, to send the application to somewhere in London. He also is telling her that New Dheli, via VFS, is not where the application has to be sent. She has known him and his wife for a long time and seems to believe everything he says.

I suppose it depends how well you know said lady, if l knew her well enough I’d be telling her the information is totally wrong and maybe suggest that she goes to a local agent for a free consultation.
If the boyfriend has any sense, he’d of course check himself, maybe you could suggest that to her.
