Trump directs FBI to declassify information related to Russia investigation

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump has directed the FBI to immediately declassify additional information related to the investigation into possible election meddling by Russia, the White House said on Monday.

 

He has also directed the Justice Department to publicly release text messages relating to the Russia investigation without redaction from former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as other former and current Justice Department officials, including recently fired FBI agent Peter Strzok who has come under fire for sending texts disparaging Trump as a presidential candidate.

Where is the lack of interest by the "left-leaning media"? They have reported that Trump wants classified documents released. As the documents are classified they have no idea what they contain. Do you expect them to make assumptions about the contents? I suspect Fox may have more of an idea about the contents as Trump has probably told Hannity all about them. More obstruction of justice?

This is nothing but a political play designed to try to help the man-child (and hopefully it will backfire spectacularly). It's a blatant interference in an ongoing investigation and dangerous to the intelligence community and members of the law enforcement as it reveals secrets methods of investigation and will make it harder to recruit informants.

Nice try Becker but you are never going to get the likes of Nyezhov, Boon Mee and the likes to ever admit they are wrong. They come on this forum defending their beloved Trump and when they get proven time and time again to be full of it they just wait for the next Trump story (daily obviously) in the vain hope of getting some morsel of good information to corroborate their deep state, libtards and the biased MSM narrative.

This story is obviously another example of Trump's willingness to abuse his power on almost a daily basis. The obvious red line that this crosses puts the FBI and the justice department in an impossible situation wherein an ongoing investigation into a sitting president is put in jeopardy by the very same sitting President. I've said it before and I will say it again, Trump believes he is above the law and has consistently done everything he can to confuse and misdirect this investigation. He has changed his story so many times I'm getting dizzy but truth will be out and I am confident that the worse president EVER will soon be just a bad footnote in history.

Whatever happened to Trump's attorney insisting that Mueller comply with the unofficial Department of Justice “60-day rule" policy that stipulates that investigators should not take any actions within two months of an election to avoid influencing the outcome.

 

I can't see anyone in the Justice Department complying with Trump's "wishes."

If there is Justice Department support to comply with Trump's wish, Mueller should be free than to immediately bring indictments against all suspected parties related to the Russian election interference conspiracy as well as other federal criminal violations.

Why is it that no one on the left is curious as to why the DOJ and FBI are ignoring and delaying releasing information? If you are so sure he is guilty then wouldn't you want to see as much as possible?
