I was using my vpn (touch vpn) on my school network, and suddenly after downloading a second vpn, nothing seemed to work. I'm not sure if this is a temporary thing or permanent but my school has blocked all this shit that I need so don't know what to do.

So you're trying to access stuff online at school, presumably your place of work, that your school has deemed inappropriate.  What school do you teach at so I can send my kids there......not!

You said you opened your Touch VPN and then downloaded a second VPN.   Why the 2nd VPN?  Did you try to install it?   You said nothing seemed to work.  It is not clear if you are saying access to the internet is blocked or you computer locked up. And whether whatever happened happened before or after you tried to install the 2nd VPN.

Really need very specific details for us to offer intelligent comments from afar.

suggest if using microsoft operating system you uninstall both vpn's using uninstall option under programs  in control panel and reinstall your preferred version of VPN and see if that works. If you're using IOS then search online for how to uninstall and reinstall programs

To the OP, If using Microsoft, then the above is a good strategy. The second VPN when installed probably overwrotethe settings of the first VPN. A lot of them use something like Open VPN in the background. Windows 10 still has it's own issues with VPNs natively.

The other thing you might like to try is to change the DNS server to Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Do a search for "changing DNS windows 10" for a guide to do that.

Don't know about Windows. I run Linux, but Opera browser has built in VPN, choice of exit nodes, and auto ad blocker. I guess the Win version works the same. Free at: https://www.opera.com/download

I was also using Touch VPN until recently.

Touch VPN had a list of servers that were free.  The server I required was based in Australia, and was free to use.  One day, Touch VPN didn't work, so I unistalled it and reinstalled it, which usually fixes problems with most Apps.  I suggest you try this as well.

So, after the reinstall, it still didn't work.  I looked into it further and found the Australian server now requires a paid subscription.  You can see the servers that require a paid subscription have a little padlock next to them.  There was no notice by the developers, by way of pop up, that this change had taken place.

Perhaps the server you require is also locked until you pay for a subscription.

I am not an IT guru, but if your school's internet modem and/or internet provider is somehow blocking VPN's, a work around for you would be using the 4G on your phone, connect to the VPN server through your mobile company, Eg. DTAC, and then tether or hotspot to your laptop.

Just wondering why you think VPN's are used solely to access inappropriate material on the internet.

I only ever do my online banking with my VPN connected, as it offers another level of security by stopping "a man in the middle attack."

There are also many TV channels that you can not view outside of the broadcast country.  What if the OP wanted to watch a BBC story during his lunch break?  He would need a VPN to view it.

Many people connect their VPN as soon as their computer starts, as it offers privacy and security for all their internet browsing.

I think you have confused VPN's with The TOR Project and "the dark web's hidden services."  This is where guns, drugs, child porn etc are sold.

Also helps prevent your IP throttling you back (monitoring your usage) and they do, using a VPN they can not monitor as packets are different

I use VPN for online banking, but also to avoid that some websites assume that since I am based in Thailand I can only read Thai. It also helps with cutting down "handshakes", making webpages load faster.

I was a happy user of Touch VPN as it was free and worked better than a paid app to access Australia for catch-up TV.. But all suddenly changed after an update and Australia is now one of about 6 countries where you now have to pay to access. About $99.00 per year. I'm now looking for another app option..
