IO stamped NON-O ME visa used on 1st entry

Featured Replies

Just got back from HCMC where I got NON-O multientry visa based on Thai spouse. Super smooth process there by the way.

At Don Mueang the officer stamped the new visa USED with today's date and drew lines over the visa. I noticed this and said that this is multientry. He apologized, blurred the used stamp and date with a pen and signed with his initials (I assume) and wrote above the visa "VISA MULTIPLE".

He said, "next time you enter, no problem. Visa multiple".

Just wondering if there actually will be no problems and is there something more I should consider doing now or next time leaving/entering Thailand?

It happens all the time.

There will not be a problem since the officer corrected his error.

No problem. The visa is still valid.

A multiple entry visa should never be stamped used since it can be used for entry until the date it expires.

Only a single entry visa is stamped used since it will still be shown as valid for entry on the visa sticker.
