PHUKET, 22 September 2018 (NNT) – Phuket and Australia’s Gold Coast city signed a letter of intent to establish themselves as sister cities.

The intent of the agreement is to explore a stronger relationship between the two municipalities and create international business opportunities.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate signed the agreement with his Phuket counterparts in the southern Thai city.

The two cities share a significant beach culture and could possibly exchange knowledge on lifeguard procedures and training programs.

In terms of business, the agreement will prompt the government of Gold Coast to express an interest in developing stronger business partnerships with Phuket.

I think the only business that Phuket has that the Gold Coast doesn't would be the different style in bars , i honestly cant think of anything else how about you .

I think this may be a somewhat one-way exchange of information somehow!

Nice pun Rooster!

Hopefully Phuket tourism can learn something from this, but I won't be holding my breathe waiting for results.
