BANGKOK, 24th September 2018 (NNT) - According to the latest Suan Dusit Poll, people disapprove of politicians who break campaign promises.

The poll was taken following the recent withdrawal of a ban on political activities by the National Council for Peace and Order.

The survey indicated that about 42% of the respondents agreed that campaign promises should always be practical and politicians should fulfill their campaign promises. 32.29% of the samples said political parties should announce policies that benefit the public. Another 23.27% said politicians should visit communities during their campaigns.

About 36 percent of the participants expressed their disapproval of candidates who oversell campaign promises and fail to fulfill them. 34.24% disapproved of vote buying.

Regarding online political campaigning, 48.15% approved of the method and 34.57% agreed that the approach allows for better accessibility. However, 25.93% of the poll-takers expressed concerns over attempts to regulate and scrutinize online political campaigns.

When asked about campaigning methods, 29.32% preferred rallies, 26% sided with using social media and 25.13% favored the door-to-door approach.

Regarding political rallies, about 62% of the sample favored such gatherings, leaving 38% opposed to the approach.

About 34% of the poll-takers indicated that television broadcasting is their preferred campaigning channel. 27.55% of them would respond to political campaigns according to influences such as the candidates themselves or political party leaders, while another 21% would pay attention to the campaigns on social media.

Opposition can sort of campaign but not really say anything so not exactly a useful poll yet again.

Does anyone know of ANY politicians who kept their campaign promises after they were elected?

"Work on the wall will start on my first day in office"

There is still much corruption in Thailand, there was one "politician" or was it a general who tried to do politics and who promised to stop it.

Then you know now who not to choose with the coming elections, whenever they come.

A very interesting signature sign off you have Thailand and how appropriate: “If Churchill was around today, imagine how good his tweets would have been.”

Are you aware that Churchill was the first politician to publicly propose a "United Europe" in order bring stability and reduce the risk of conflict in the region?

His tweets certainly would be most interesting.

Back on topic. For the first time in my life I could find myself voting Labour.

100 % of the participants in the polls said they feel unconscious, and unwilling to do anything to change the situation.
