Most Bangkokians stressed, unhappy: survey

Featured Replies

Happiness in BKK would improve the instant people were just a little more considerate of each other.  Of course, that will never happen.

-  literally everyone playing with their phones while driving, compounding delayed reaction times

-  smartphone zombies bottlenecking sidewalks and stairways

-  food carts dumping oily sludge and dishwater down sidewalk drains

-  residents leaving loose bags of food trash on the sidewalks with no bin, attracting huge cockroaches and rats

-  farmer trucks blocking roadways selling watermelons, mangosteens, etc. adding to noise pollution with their megaphones

-  gangs of taxis and tuk tuks parking outside places luke Esplanade and Rod Fai Market and not accepting passengers

Great city but I'd probably go crazy if I didnt get out of BKK every couple months.

I used to live in Bangkok. It was great. Now I have moved out. Even if I am passing through I dont stay overnight. The destrucion of lower Suk is horrible.

Points taken,

I add, would anybody who lives, works, has to commute daily in Bangkok not be stressed?

Same comment for many large cities across the world.

Simply solving the traffic problem would alleviate a lot of stress. Workers will be able to spend more time at home, less inefficiencies with travel, and overall save money for everyone.
