I was just wondering if the branch of Bangkok Bank that is located within the Bangkok Immigration office complex can be used to get the certification letter confirming that the 800k is deposited in an account with them. Has anyone used that branch to get a letter before immediately going upstairs to file the application?

If you have your required amount of money in a foreign currency they can't help you .

You need to make the trip to the head office on Silom road.

BKB in Cheang Wattana told me they could do it so the next year when I went to CW for visa extension  I didn't bother going to Silom.

However , when I applied downstairs for the letter , they told me ; No , we can't do it , you need to go to Silom head office !!

So straight away ( obviously not happy )  left to Silom , arrived just in time before closing time .

So had to return they next day to CW with the letter.

Just so bloody annoying !!

If you have the required amount in Thai baht , maybe they can make the letter at CW , I don't know.

I have it in baht. I'm hoping that will be okay.

No problem to get it there. They will also update your bank book and do copies of it.
