Phuket police are hunting for a suspect in an alleged rape. Police are hoping someone can identify the published photo.

A video clip of the man, who followed two women into a room and thenrunning out of the room, has become viral on social media since September 30.

Victims say that the suspect was not going to steal anything but was going to rape them but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled the condominium and sped away after victims screamed for help. Victims later reported the incident to the Phuket City Police.

This makes me think. Had the sucker been successful, would the victims been to embarrassed to make a police report?

Anyway good that he was not successful and the report was made. I hope the police will catch this lowlife soon... or better yet, some other group will catch him first and teach him a lesson.

Looking at The Thaiger report, I can't work out what the second photo is for?

It shows a hand clenched, maybe on a floor mat near a computer mouse perhaps? Baffling.

That photo shows a scratch on the victim's hand.  Possibly where he grabbed her and she pulled her hand / arm away.

It appears she is sitting on a bed when the photo was taken.

A couple of things don't sound right with this story.

The photo says the offender "followed two women into a room."  The photo shows the room is up a flight, or flights, of stairs.  Wouldn't you stop and confront the offender before going to your front door?

Also, if the two women already made it into the room, before the offender was climbing the stairs, how did he know which room to go to?

Was there any forced entry into the room?  These doors usually have the "peep hole."  Why would you open the door?

The guy looks like a typical Thai drug dealer.  I would like to know how they first met this guy, where they met him, and under what circumstances.

He appears unperturbed by the security cameras, which would be in plain sight to him.

Why do they search for a rape suspect if the victims are Thai, but not if the victims are farang?!?!?

Having a report of the cops hunting for the perp and actually doing any leg work are two different things.  What I get from the story is they have a video of him and hope someone identifies him. Without further details there maybe little they can do other than circulate the video.

There would be CCTV footage of his arrival, possibly on a motorbike.  Bigger condo blocks usually have 24/7 security, with a camera on the entry / exit for registration plates.  Holiday condo blocks also have a reception, maybe he showed his ID card.  They could start with asking around where he met the ladies.

As another member said, they could easily find this guy, if they wanted to, or if they had an incentive to, or if it effected "Phuket's image."
