The Correct "Visa" Number to Use on the TM6 Arrival Departure Card (Retired & Annual Extn's)

Recommended Posts

This has been problematic on more than one occasion.  Logically,  there was only one visa - the original Non-Immigrant O - with annual extensions coming after that (though all pqassport stamps bear some kind of sequential number).  These are the "numbers" for myself & dependent wife, respectively, issued in Chiang Mai -

2014 non-imm O visa - B2699563 & B2699564

2014 annual extn - 20928/57 & 20929/57 (though hard to read)

2015 annual extn - 58/PN/2858 & 58/PN/2859

2016 annual extn - 59/PN/7591 & 59/PN/7593

2017 annual extn - 60/RT8405 & 60/DRT8406

I presume we should always be quoting the first "B" numbers.  Is this correct?

Thanks in anticipation.

If you have a still valid visa issued by a Thai Consulate allowing multi-entry you put that number.  If you are on an extension of stay you put the number of your re-entry permit.  Extensions of stay by themselves do not allow any entry.

No. You should put the re-entry permit number on the TM.6.

As long as the IO sees/finds the re-entry permit they will use it regardless of what you write on the TM.6.
