October 11, 20187 yr Government: Local political situation remains calm BANGKOK, 11th October 2018 (NNT) — The government has assured the public that the country’s political situation remains calm and normal. Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Wednesday that he views a decision by groups involved in past political conflicts to set up a new Puea Chart Party as legally possible and not intended to be part of a political game. Gen. Prayut stated that he has been studying the history of both Thai and foreign politics to understand political development better and that he already realized that many countries have engaged in political fights for the sake of the administration and not to hurt each other. He said that Thailand should learn from such lessons and adjust everything in order to achieve the national reform. Regarding reports of some politicians’ recent trips to meet with Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra and Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Gen. Prayut said that the Election Commission and related agencies would be looking into the issues to see if any law has been broken. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon says that he believes the Thai political situation remains normal while political parties are allowed to engage in some activities, but not election campaigning. Gen. Prawit also confirmed that he wouldn't enter politics despite recent polls, which showed considerable support for PM Gen. Prayut to continue his political career. October 11, 20187 yr aha El boring old fart who even today still thinks people want to listen to him on tv ( pure speculation on my part, I wnet cable after 1 week of this <deleted>) had declared local political situation remains calm or I will put you in for attitude adjustment. Thing is the delayed election will continue to be delayed because the junta knows it is in power due to military might not the will of the people, despite its communist aspirations and threats to punch any disagreeable reporters or polkitiicans or just arrest them. Come the next delay from what ever it has been delayed to now, the next set of protests will occur and the wheel will turn.
