Hello all,

Can you please let me know what documents I require for the Extension of Stay for Retirement Renewal.  My renewal will be done at Chaengwattana.  Thankyou

A completed TM7 form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp, your current extension and TM6 departure card.

Plus whatever financial proof you will be using.

As of today you can use your income letter to prove income.

For the money in the bank option it can be in a standard savings account or a fixed deposit account if the money can be withdrawn without any delay or penalty.

....penalty other than loss of interest. (Sorry Joe, I know how picky some are here.)

I understand that a foreign currency deposit is also allowed, although obviously the Bt equivalent does depend on the current Fx rate so it might be wise to ensure a little contingency.

Also my I/O asks for copies of ALL previous extensions back to and including the original non-O in my PP, and I hear others wanting copies of all PP pages (even blank ones).

And as others have said, a TM30 receipt (address notification), or a new TM30 application.

The OP is asking about doing the application a Chaeng Wattana immigration in Bangkok. I wrote what they want.

I was replying to a different member than the OP in the reply you quoted. I am not really sure what he was asking about.

Apologies... I'd missed the specific CW request in the OP...

But therein lies much of the problems: not all IO's need the same info, and individual officers wants seem to vary as well... Always best to do it as early as possible within the 30 day period, as this allows time for extra info if required.

Last October at Jomtien Office, I had to also show proof of residence, All previous extensions and all pages of my bankbook.  Cheers, Tom.

was the proof of residence a certificate of residency issued by immigration?, also do you have to have 800000THB in a Thai bank account or can you show a recent statement showing a balance of 800000 or more from a bank account oversea's?

Proof of residence would be a rental agreement if you a renting.

To apply for an extension of stay the money has to be in Thai bank.

Yes, different office different story.

I was at Sri Ratcha a few days ago and for the first time they asked for a map for retirement extension.

As long as they don't want pictures of us shagging our girl(boy)friends in 4 different position like they seem to be asking for Married extensions ......

(Sarcasm alert..)
