At the end of next month (March) my 1 year visa-extension based on marriage to a Thai man runs out. At the same time my workpermit will expire AND I expect my first baby...

A visit at the immigration bureau wasn't very fruitful: Come any time you want, Your husband will know what paper to bring... (well, my husband doesn't really know and neither do I)

I've heard that when I apply for my extension I will have to wait 1 month before it will be approved. Does that mean that I can apply for my extension at the end of February? Will I get my 1 year extension then in March so that I can also extend my workpermit?

Exactly which papers do I need to bring for that extension? (When I applied last year I also had to bring a witness, do I have to do that again?)

Sorry if I'm asking questions that have been asked before. There still isn't much information available for foreign women married to a Thai man.

Thanks

Witness, really?

I just did my extension and they only required copies of ID card, passport, TM card and tabien ban. Your husband must go with you. If you are due about the same time as the extension go in a few weeks early with a note from your doctor. Shouldn't be a problem. Normally, you apply for your extension when it expires.

Sorry, can't help you with the WP issue tho.
