Not just one lie but several!  What about all those security officials seen arriving and departing from Turkey at the exact time this 'mistake' was taking place? So far they have done nothing but insult the intelligence of the worlds political leaders. Do they really think anyone believes this rubbish or are they just competing with the US for the alternative facts trophy.

It didn't take long for someone to bring the US into this story. Take a look in your own pristine backyard and view the rotting bags of bias, inuendo and conjecture.

It's OK all will be forgotten and forgiven as the military industrial complexes of the West are not going to stop cashing in on the obscenely rich war mongering barbarians.

It was really easy to bring the US into this, all that was required was reading the OP.

"Video footage collected by Turkish authorities shows that a man dressed in Khashoggi’s clothing exited the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and then drove to Sultan Ahmed Mosque, which is a major tourist attraction in the city and a place where it would be easy to get lost in a crowd, CNN reported."

Even stronger, they have him entering the consulate, exiting wearing Khashoggi's clothes and false beard, and entering the bathroom in the mosque in Khashoggi's clothes, exiting in his own.

Which would imply that Khashoggi removed his clothes before entering in the fist fight...maybe he was prepared and was wearing his boxing shorts under his pants...which would then mean that it was all premeditated: Khashoggi went to the embassy intent on creating trouble, and no less than 15 benevolent agents were required to bring down the Saudi fighter.

An obvious explanstion! should have thought about it long ago...

Yes, it was a grave mistake for MBS to order the hit, provide his jets for the operation and send in some of his own men. The hit went as planned, except for the fallout. Now they are doing everything in their power to cover for the pig prince. He is a gangster. A thug. A killer.

The great thing to come out of this is that both MBS and the House of Saud was outed for being who they are. The world now knows. At least those who have not been following their crimes over the decades. Reform? Total and complete BS. More like extreme oppression.

Well, it was hardly a secret, or an unknown fact. Didn't seem to deter most countries and governments from dealing with SA. Same goes for a lot of other countries with questionable civil/human rights records - China making a prime example.

I still don't see how your assertion translates into anything constructive in terms of changing things, though. More people are aware of something which wasn't a secret, and....? Like, I don't know many non-Chinese people who are not sympathetic when it comes to the Tibetans. The vast majority of these people continues to buy stuff made in China. Guess it works that way with oil (and petrodollars) as well.

We can take comfort in their ineptness, as with the  recent Russian shenanigans and, historically, the CIA. Guess the Turks had the place bugged or something; I've read the Apple Watch explanation is a bit far fetched. Hope they find the body. An autopsy might be revealing. Long may these organisations continue to attract and recruit second rate men and their vile activities be exposed for what they are.

Interesting pictures just released by the Turks from CCTV systems around Istanbul showing a  Khashoggi double entering the consulate with a plaid shirt on and then exiting with Khashoggi's clothes on, going to a mall, entering a bathroom and coming out with his plaid shirt on, throwing the bag of clothes in a dumpster and then reentering his hotel as if nothing happened.  I don't know if Ergogan has videos from internal to the consulate but, IMHO, what he released indicates premeditated murder!  Can't wait to hear the outcome of his next revelation to the Turkish congress today.  MBS actually stands for Master of BS, a designation most likely given to him by the High Priest of BS, Trumpty Dumpty!

Don't think so.

Think it was a botched kidnap attempt, and when it went wrong they had to improvise.

Why would they show up with a forensic expert with a bone saw if it was just a kidnapping? I suspect that the body parts flew out on the first plane that was not checked.  It stopped in Egypt and Khashoggi  might have ended up as chum for the Nile crocs!  We'll see what Erogan has to say later today, maybe!

Not exactly...it was a deal: either come with us quietly and travel in the first class compartment, OR resist and travel in the suitcase compartment!

Trump calls Saudi explanation for journalist's death credible, arrests 'good first step'

President Trump on Friday night called Saudi Arabia's explanation for the death of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi credible and said that the arrests of more than a dozen Saudi nationals were "a good first step."
"It's a big step. There's a lot of people involved," Trump said while speaking during a roundtable with top defense contractors in Arizona.

Trump added that "Saudi Arabia has been a great ally, but what happened is unacceptable."

The forensic expert, or rather the ME, had to be here to make sure that the patient was dead after dismemberment, so that his death could be recorded precisely in the SA medical archives.

It seems that the patient's body, to big to fill a suitcase, was dumped in a nearby forest...yet, maybe his head was flown back home, to be added to MBS' unique collection...

Turks upping the pressure again today. I would love to know precisely what they are pushing for. They clearly haven't got it as the revelations would dry up. And of course if they show the full hand of cards, they have nothing or little left to pressure with.

They must have something as the Director of the CIA is winging her way to Istanbul.  Might it be an attempt by Trump to put a lid on the release of damaging info about MBS in an attempt to quiet the whole mess down.
