The driver of a Bangkok-Nong Bua Lamphu bus was injured along with 14 passengers when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip on its side.

Police said the accident happened at 5.40am on the Chaiyaphum-Si Khiew road in Chaiyaphum's Chaturas district.

The driver, Samart Jaichoom, 57, and 14 passengers were rushed to the district hospital. Police said they have yet to question the driver to determine the cause of the accident.

A passenger, Thirapat Klubjai, 17, who was not injured, said the bus was transporting 30 passengers from Bangkok to Nong Bua Lamphu.

Thirapat said he woke up as dawn was breaking and felt the bus swaying from left to right, causing the other passengers to scream before it flipped.

Probably just as the driver woke up !!

Unbelievable-yet another long distance bus crash in just a few days. No wonder the domestic budget airlines are booming!
