Ford Everest Titanium Plus 2.0

Featured Replies

I have been looking for up-to-date reviews / problems on the new 2.0L Ford engine.

Are there any out there? I see reports of recalls on the Raptor with the same engine

but no mention of recalls on the Everest. If any of you have an Everest with the new

2.0L engine, could you please detail any problems / recalls.

I would have thought that if they have the same drive train then perhaps stuff will be the same...

I would have thought same, but as I've mentioned above - only reports on Raptors.

Perhaps owners different usage....

There was a problem with a batch of transmissions. This also affected the everest. A few had to be towed as the car could neither engage forward or reverse gears. This was a problem to do with use of weak materials from the supplier. I understand that Ford is dealing with this now and recalling vehicles to be fixed. But who knows if there will be more problems in the future. it would be worth following up with the local Ford dealer and find out what's going on, and get an assurance that they will replace the vehicle if something major like that happens (which I think has happened in some instances.

If you join the Ford Everest Thailand club on Facebook, there is a lot of info there. If there is a problem, that is the first place they will complain. I was considering an everest too, but I will likely hold off a while and see what happens.
