Charlie Puth to conquer Koh Pich stage

PHNOM PENH – Have you already recovered from the mega concerts of the world’s most sought-after and multitalented artists in the capital? South Korea’s CL and Rain, UK’s Jessie J and America’s Demi Lovato have all given all-out performances in front of thousands of their Cambodian fans singing their hit songs. With the country’s rising pop music scene, it’s easy to see how these international stars have influenced our local singers. After all, music knows no language or race; it just tugs at anyone’s heartstrings.

 

This week – November 2 to be exact – another renowned and celebrated pop star will serenade Cambodia with his heartfelt songs that truly made a mark in the music industry. Charlie Puth, the man behind One Call Away and See You Again, will be climbing up the big stage for Smart Axiata’s Mega Concert on Friday night at Koh Pich for his Voicenotes Tour, and give his huge following in the Kingdom the rare chance to see him up close and hear him sing his hit songs right before their eyes.

 

Thomas Hundt, CEO of Smart Axiata, said during September’s Smart concert icon reveal that the telecommunication company is overly excited to bring such a well-known artists to perform in the Cambodian capital. “Charlie is an example of how hard work as well as savvy use of social media can be used to share the love for music and become a star. He is an inspiration for aspiring artists across the globe,” Mr Hundt said, adding that Cambodia’s bright and talented singers should follow the artist’s foosteps.
