Papers Needed For Marriage Extension

Featured Replies

what papers do i need to take to immi,i am uk citizen with a thai husband,1/2 thai child,we need to get marrage visa for me[im female not male!] any help

thanks

Hi mearkat, We went in with the whole 9 yards (all financial information, hubby's personal tax receipt, business license) and they only required (2 copies) of all Thai visas in my passport (TM card as well), tabien ban, hubby's id card, letter from Puyaiban (stating he knows us and where we live), marriage license and two photos of me. That said, he did look at our financials but, for the first time in all the years I have been doing this, did not keep them. I would include baby's birth certificate as well.

No income or money in the bank required. Just the marriage certificate and ID card of your Thai husband and your passport. Take the birth certificate as well.

I surmise the marriage was in Thailand. If not, your embassy needs to notarize the marriage certificate. If its not in English and needed to be notorized, you then need to take it to the Ministry of Foreign affairs after it was translated and get the translation and copy of the certificate certified.

After three consecutive years with the extension of stay. You can apply for Permanent Residence. After five years of PR, you can apply for Thai Citizenship. No income or money in the bank required.

Are you in BKk? If so, call our office.... 02-642-0213 No visa ( one year extension of stay) , no professional fee will be charged. The professional fee is 6,500 Baht. Your husband will not need to show money in the bank or income as he is Thai.
