140kg teen falls from Chachoengsao train

A 16-year-old, who appeared to be overweight, fell from a train while boarding it to school at Chachoengsao railway station and was severely injured.

 

The police said Sittha Amornratnamniueng was immovable when he fell from the train's ladder on to the track at the station in Muang district once the train arrived at 8:30am.

 

Sittha was heading to the Fine Arts College in Bangkok's Lat Krabang district.

 

The student is 180cm tall and weighs about 140kg. He appeared to have back injuries and could not move. Rescuers took him to the Buddha Sothorn Hospital.

He could have had back injuries before he fell from carrying that amount of weight.

Complete turd piece of "news". Tells a little bit about privacy too. Whoever allowed this PoS to hit the waves should go down faster than the bitcoin stock. Obesity is a problem, but more often than not there are reasons for someone being obese and crap like this does nothing to help them break away from the vicious cycle. I don't think this chap will suddenly become super hyped up to hit the gym and start eating healthy because his name and stats are paraded publicly.

It may not have caused his fall, but it probably was responsible for the injuries.

The more you weigh, the more damage caused when you fall.

Essentially, you crush your own body.

I thought it may have been reason for derailment, or damage to lines

If the young boy is already 140kg at 16 years of age how big is he going to be when he grows up. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Actually he might not be overweight or obese as you say...
he might be "short" for his weight !!!!  

If he didnt have back or neck injuries from the fall he prob does now, judging from that handling of him. By the way how many fatass old falangs do i see everyday in thailand ? too many to count.

Rephrasing your comment in more polite terms, I would agree that there are quite a few elderly farangs in Thailand who are overweight, with a few actually obese.  There, sorted it for you.  You are a polite "Notagain" again, having regained a modicum of civility.

Yes, the Thais are getting fatter. Their mitocondrias are calibrated to handle small portions of rice, the junk food has come as a chock! BMI 43,2.... nice age to already fulfill the criteria for a gastric bypass surgery. Add a new big business to the private hospitals.
