Lost tax id, I don't have the number or any copy

Hello,

 

Back in Sept 2017 my lawyer made a tax id for me because I opened a company, but we had an accident and we had to close the company down before I even got the chance to make a work permit. Now I can't find the tax id and I don't have the number neither. I'm worried that they might come after me because I never filled any documents or taxes or anything.

 

How to cancel a tax id of which I don't have the number ? Do you guys have tax ids ? What happen if we never make any submission ? I'm a bit worried about this.

Having a tax ID number does not obligate you to do a tax return. You have nothing to worry about unless earning money here and having taxes deducted from your income.

You could go to the revenue office and sort it out. I have no clue about if they can cancel it, but as above state you do not have to file a tax return as a private person if you do not earn money that you need to pay tax on.
