VIDEO: Leicester City players and fans pay tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

 

 

Leicester City players and supporters were in tears during a minutes silence held for owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha before the first game since his death.

The away match against Cardiff City saw fans wear special tribute t-shirts provided by the club, while others unfurled a huge Thailand flag in tribute to the man affectionaly known as 'The Boss'.

A second-half goal from Demarai Gray sparked jubilation amongst Leicester's players and fans, although referee Lee Probert will face criticism for booking the forward after he took his shirt off in celebration to reveal a T-shirt with the words "For Khun Vichai" across the front.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha's funeral began in Bangkok on Saturday.

A number of Leicester players were due to fly out to Thailand after the game against Cardiff.

A very emotional day all round by all accounts.  R.I.P Vichai and to the others who lost their lives.

He displayed the best of Thailand, modest, kind and generous, a great man who will be sadly missed.
