Sounds like the Nimmanhaemin Area. Or possibly the soi that leads to a side entrance of CMU, off the Canal Road (Rim Nam Mansion)..

My first thoughts were Lanna 4, although that is actually on Huay Kaew as opposed to a small soi. Is it the one just off Suthep Road?
