Travelling from Manilla to Swampy with a return ticket. Length of stay 7 days.

Phillippine citizen but as of African/American appearance is 20,000 or equivalent $ required.

Are the VIP services still available as someone mentioned these have been stopped yet numerous websites are still taking bookings.

Any pointers for an easy entry?

Better to have 20,000 baht equivalent in cash on you, in case you are asked. I also heard VIP service was being terminated, but I believe that did not happen. Ask your airline.

I suspect that the OP is enquiring about third-party VIP service, not the service offered by some airlines. As he mentioned they are still advertising, including Bangkok Flight Services which I used in February of this year for the arrival of a friend at Suvarnabhumi airport. It will be best to contact these companies by email for confirmation.

According to the published rules, 10K may be asked based on entering visa-exempt, and 20K for entering with a Visa.  But, some IOs have been reported to deny entry for those with only 10K - insisting that they need 20K to show.  They can basically make up whatever they want, given the lack of oversight / adherence to published rules.  I don't fly-in, for this reason.

In your case, I would have 20K Baht, plus evidence of your flight-out a week later handy to show, if asked.  I would also have my hotel-booking printout handy (you will need this address for the entry-form).

Some believe the VIP services reduce scrutiny.  If you do not travel to Thailand often, or stay for longer periods of time, the odds of problems upon-entry are greatly reduced.
