When Non B Immigrant Visa Expires...

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone!

I have been following this (excellent) site for many months now, and have scanned the archives and postings yet wondered if anyone would possibly be able to provide some advice...

If you have a Non B, and make it last for 15 months, dont work and therefore do not have a work permit, can you apply for a new (tourist visa) after the Non B visa expires? I ask this in relation to the Oct 1st Tourist Visa legislation. Can Immigration let existing holders of Expired Non B back in with a new tourist visa? Maybe it would easier to obtain another Non B?

I am confused with the visa situation since Oct1st, thanks in advance for any advice I appreciate your help!

Confusedddddd!

:o Best regards! KD

The only change is for entry without visa. These are now limited to 90 days per six month period. You can obtain and use a tourist visa if you are a tourist, at any time. But if a Consulate suspects you are not a tourist they do have the right to not issue you such a visa. But most seem to limit that to second time applicants for same visa, if at all. You should not have a problem obtaining a single entry tourist visa from current reports.
