Not sure exactly what they are, perhaps a harmless type of rat snake though young cobra springs to mind as well. From the head shape I would say there's a good chance they are poisonous so best avoided, certainly until you have properly identified them and even then.... :o

I believe it is the Indo-Chinese Rat Snake. If so, it is harmless.

Looking at my ‘Photographic Guide to Snakes’ I to think it is an Indio Chinese Rat Snake, which I think is harmless.

Looks like the one.

Indo Chinese Rat Snake

Thais call it Gnu Sing Dong.

post-31764-1172820783_thumb.jpgok I saw this little gnuu kiow hangin out in my yard and looked like a vine snake but it doesn't have the pointy nose so can anyone tell me what it is?

he wasn't all that shy and about ready to cruise in to my kitchen.

Comparing your pic with my little book with the long name, I'm pretty sure it's Red-tailed Ratsnake (no venom). Couldn't see the (red) tail in the book or your photo but everything else fits.

No, it is a Chrysopelea Paradisii. A "flying" or paradise snake. Not dangerous to humans at all even if it is rear-fanged with a very mild poison.

They are very nice and has very good climbing skills. They also has the skills to Para "fly" from the top of a tree, to another tree. Actually it is just by spreading/flattening the body.

Wise words, there are plenty of them up here and they seem harmless, but with any snake, leave them alone.

Dont worry it has no venom, but they do strike and fast. You wouldn't feel the bite!!! As some have mentioned it is an Indo-Chinese Rat snake.
