Visa To Oz If Not An Ozzy

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm 24 yo British and have been backpacking around S.E.Asia and working in Korea with my Thai girlfriend for about 5 months. Now we want to go to Australia for a few months. I've read all the previous posts but still have some more questions:

1. Does it make any difference that I'm not Australian in saying I can financially support her in Oz.

2. She has 2 kids who live with relatives in Thailand. Should she mention them?

3. She can prove that she has a job but she has no cash in her bank. Would it help if I deposited some money in her account? How much would help?

4. I've only recently graduated and don't have a job so will they believe that I can support her if I can only prove that I have about US$5000 to my name.

5. Are there any documents that we could get in Thailand that show we are engaged, that would help with getting her a visa?

6. I am already married in England but have been separated for a long time. Later I want to take my Thai girlfriend to the UK. In the UK Embassy, do they really check if I've been married before giving me a document saying that I'm free to marry?

Thank you very much for any advice!

I get the feeling this is a windup, and would have thought a recent graduate would have more research skills, but will respond anyway.

Firstly I dont like your chances at all to be honest, but try this link below.

immigration to Oz

You don' say what sort of visa you want and what your intentions are in Oz, so address them first.

If you're gonna get married in LOS a decree absolute or similar, notorised by your embassy staff is neccesary, before the amphur wedding can proceed.

If you just go ahead without divorce, does the word bigamy mean anything to you.

Sorry if you thought my post was a wind-up. No, it wasn't. And my degree is in Economics (1st class honours). And sorry if you all think you're superior because I would consider bigamy to be with the person I love.

I only got married to help my Polish gf get her visa bullshit sorted out and now she wouldn't let me divorce her and even if she did, I don't have enough money to fly back to the UK and then pay for all the legal bullshit.

Besides, as someone who has specialised in migration economics and knows that all migration/visa/marriage crap is complete nonsense with absolutely no economic sense, it's difficult to put myself out for it!

Mate

you lead a very complex and complicated life, simplify it by buying a bar in Patong, fill it full of girls who will have sex with men for money and you will make a fortune! then you can support you Thai girlfriend and have a jolly nice holiday in Oz.

Failing that give up, you wont get any joy from any embassy, bigamist or not

1 wife misery...

Bigamy twice the misery...

Jokingly basher

You're all the most stupid people in the world. Who's idea was it to make a forum for the world's most stupid people? Thanks for nothing, I'll sort out the visa alone.

When handing out stupidity badges I'd give you a chestful. One of the all time greats of idiocy. Trust me, your tart won't be going to the great southern land with you. And we obviously did make a forum for the worlds most stupid people. How else would you have got here. Write to someone in the old Dart and find out what the penalty is for bigamy. Begone halfwit.

Good luck at the Australian embassy. Australian Immigration policy is tough.

I was actually being serious when I said he fit the profile of a people smuggler. If her isn't a troll, the people at the Australian embassy won't look too kindly upon people in your situation.

Is this chick a BG by any chance? Unless she is the Daughter of the Thai ambassador to Korea, or some hi-flying Thai expat she has sweet FA chance of getting an Australian visa. Embassy officials will wonder what she is doing in Korea. Anything to do with "Hospitality" then forget it!!

Given that, if you are legit, I would be hesitant putting your name against anything with the Australian authorities, lest they ban you from entering too.
