HOLIDAYS at Vientiane Thai Embassy, New Year's Period

When will the Thai embassy/consulate in Vientiane be closed over the New Year's period? I am confused by the information on different websites. 

 

Website for the embassy there indicates that Dec 31 is a holiday. Jan 1 is NOT so indicated.

However, Jan 1 is generally observed as a holiday in Thailand, isn't it?

In Lao, general use website has Jan 1 as a holiday. Don't embassies usually close on local holidays?

 

The timing of is going to be tricky for me. Any help toward clarity appreciated.

January 1st is also a holiday. It is not shown on that calendar since it is only for a 2018.

It is shown on this calendar for 2019.

They haven't updated the calendar for 2019. The 1st is a public holiday and they will be closed.
