I can't help but wonder if the timing corresponds to the February, 2026 proposal to change the procedure from a forced sale to outright confiscation. I can't find an update on where that change stands in the legislative process, but that would sure make it a lot more lucrative to go after the nominee entities. It would be no more lucrative to go after the others involved, like lawyers, officials, etc. I think the answer to the question posed in the OP is "Follow the money". Other than fines, there's no money in going after the others. The foreign devil holds all the value.
