Your electoral colleges did not serve you very well in that case. It's difficult for me to understand that system.

The electoral college is not necessarily a bad system.  In a close election where you get to the point of a recount - if it were not done through the electoral college where you could limit the recount to a given territory it would be a nightmare.  Imagine a nationwide recount.  The biggest issue is the granularity of the allocation of electoral members where if you win a state you win all of the members for that state.  If you win 51/49 you all, and the loser none.  It disenfranchises any in the minority for any state where there is not a competition between the parties.  The simplest change would be to eliminate the all or none and allocate them based a given districts - one per district -- not much different than the parliamentary equivalent.  The other change would be to outlaw any gerrymandering and take the drawing of districts by politicians (both parties have corruptly done this in the past).

Well the first count is done in about 12 hours... is another 24 really so burdensome to get it right? Correct count seems more important than speed of count in a true democracy.

And how do you know the recount is any more accurate than the first?  you will have the same errors but in different locations.  The counting of the election is done in 12 hours, recounts that tend to focus on those that had issues the first time and then there is the option of a hand recount.  A recount can take weeks.  Then you get into the issue of some being able to recount in the time alotted, some failing... Think Florida... but now nationwide.

Is this an investigation into a crime, looking for a perpetrator?

No - it's an investigation into a person, looking for a crime. That's the definition of a witch hunt.

Many of the people indicted so far committed their 'crimes' AFTER the investigation started.

Total farce.

Trump will someday be found guilty of tax fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to defraud the United States, violation of emoluments clause of the Constitution, and various other high crimes & misdemeanors and his supporters will say, "Aha! No collusion!"

The trump "legal" pushback on Flynn has tried to paint the FBI as "entrapping" Flynn - Peter Strozk did the interview hence the personal attacks on him by trump/twitter.

Mueller released a memo detailing the interview today.

Mueller releases memo detailing 2017 FBI interview with Flynn

Special counsel Robert Mueller on Monday night released a memo detailing then-national security adviser Michael Flynn's interview with FBI agents, in which Flynn repeatedly lied about his contacts with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

The FBI officials who interviewed Flynn, including former agent Peter Strzok, gave him multiple opportunities to describe his conversations with Kislyak. Flynn denied that he spoke to the then-Russian ambassador about sanctions.

The judge in the case requested the memo, it was the judge that felt it should back be released to the public.  It shows that Flynn was given many opportunities to correct his deception but chose to double and triple down on the lie.  It was not entrapment.

Nice try, but Mueller isn't wasting tax payer money:

Mueller Probe Cost $25 Million So Far, Report Says. It’s Pulled in $48 Million From Tax Cheats

Robert Mueller’s investigation has cost just over $25 million in the first 16 months of its investigation, according to CNBC.

The Special Counsel’s Office released new an expenditure report Friday which revealed that the six months between the beginning of April through September cost about $4.5 million. More than half of the total cost is attributed to personnel compensation and benefits.

Since beginning the probe in May 2017, investigating whether Russia was linked to the Trump presidential campaign, Mueller has filed more than 100 criminal charges.

Basically at the "urging" of the judge, Flynn's sentencing hearing has been delayed for 3 months since his is continuing to cooperate with Mueller.  The judge was clearly unhappy with Flynn's lawyers memo that said that he was entrapped and it was clear that if Flynn didn't agree to delaying the  sentencing he was going to go to jail even though Mueller recommended no jail time!

Already in hand, assets seized.

I honestly can't figure out if you are being deliberately obtuse, or perhaps cannot read/understand English - which is fine by the way.

Russian agents should use grammarly to help them look like an American ????

Let us see your logic...  The FBI investigates potential criminal cases - and maybe charges only a subset (for argument sake lets say 70%).  So in your logic the FBI wastes 30%.  The only logical thing is to cut the FBI budget by 30%.  Then the FBI the following year has maybe 75%.  So you cut it by another 25%... until there is no FBI to waste money.  But then the above the law President would love that, since by all accounts there are lots of skeletons in his closet that could turn into booby traps like fraudulent Universities, Charities, etc.   I am sorry for you, but America does not have Kings.

The fact is that Robert Mueller is having success, and that is why there is so much spin in the media... try to discredit the investigators... it is a well worn path... Nixon, (Bill) Clinton etc.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan said he couldn't hide his "disgust and disdain" with Flynn's crimes, including working to covertly advance the interests of the Turkish government during the 2016 presidential campaign.

When you distill it down I can easily agree that Flynn's actions could be considered treason (though I am not sure if it meets the legal requirement).  He actions are consistent with the type of judges that use to be the favorite of conservatives - those that have zero-tolerance towards crime - and is willing to rule hard even when the prosecutor and the defense are in agreement of a rather light sentence (or no sentence).  Not saying that is not problematic when it comes to law enforcement's requirements to make deals with some that should otherwise be treated more harshly.
