Pattaya: Chartered Square Holding Company Limited has invested over one billion THB to create a new five-star golf resort in Pattaya, Thailand. This project is one of the three biggest projects invested by the company.

Chee Chan Golf Resort features 18 holes of championship golf designed by David Dale of Golfplan and is situated on 550 rai of land in a stunning location next to the famed Chee Chan Buddha Mountain. The facility provides 5 star international standard services, picturesque surroundings, and total uniqueness. Everything is put perfectly into place to guarantee the vision of the resort: “Chee Chan Golf Resort, A dream Golf Destination in Pattaya”.

On Wednesday, December 12th, Narit Chia-Apar, Chairman of Chartered Square Holding Company, founder and owner of Chee Chan Golf Resort presided over the grand opening ceremony, which had a star-studded turnout of special guests and media.  They were given the opportunity of enjoying perfect course conditions, and in the process, experience the lush and captivating natural surroundings, as well as observe and appreciate how the facility was designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Narit talks about Chee Chan Golf Resort with the utmost pride: “I love golf. I know how golfers think and what they want. I know the level of service that is expected, and so I built the course based on the needs of myself as a golfer, and not just as an investor.  Whatever I see fit to give the best impression for our visitors, I will make sure that we have it here. I wish for everyone who visits us to get the best golf experience, and that will be the best return on investment for us.”

One of the key features of the course is the use of Zemet Zoysia grass, which is used on tees and fairways for the first time. In addition the Bermuda Tifeagle greens will provide excellent year round putting surfaces.  The course is open to visitors and is expected to be very popular with local golfers as well as foreign guests. IMG have been appointed to provide golf marketing and operations services to ensure world class standards.

The stunning clubhouse is beautifully designed and is also equipped with a wide variety of amenities and world-class services including well appointed locker rooms, Golf Shop, as well as different types of cuisine guaranteed to please every palate. The View restaurant offers amazing views of the Buddha engraving on Chee Chan Mountain as well as panoramic views of the course, and the Pattaya skyline in the distance.

“We are proud to stand behind our vision: Chee Chan Golf Resort - A Dream Golf Destination in Pattaya”, added Narit.

Just for info. this time of year you can play a decent course in the area for around 2000 b.

This place is about 5500 b on weekdays and 6500 b on weekends...

More then Siam CC I believe.

Good luck with that. I suppose there are enough wealthy Koreans, Japanese and Chinese coming here to support it, but we will see.

All part of Pattaya being a MICE destination and EEC works coming into the area? I suppose the hope is that payments for rounds will go onto company expenses. Nice view of Buddah mountain.

MICE: Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions.

EEC: Eastern Economic Corridor.

Current soft opening green fee price of 2000 baht. Rises to 4,000 baht from Jan 1 2019.

Caddy and cart fee 1200 baht on top. Siam "published normal" rate still marginally more expensive then the increased rate in 2019.

Too bad Thailand is still under the control of the Military, would be really interesting knowing how all that Navy owned land between Wat Yan Sang Waram and Khao Chi Chan was able to be transferred to a private developer !

Lots of Brown envelopes for one billion THB

I can't see any return on investment unless there is significant real estate development to go along with the golf course. Golfcourses are just so limited in the numbers of foursomes that can play per day. Just my opinion but I think it will be a money pit. Golfers will play once to try it out and then go back to playing the many other excellent courses that charge half the price.
