Non O and retirement

Featured Replies

I am planning to retire in Thailand and have started the process but have a few questions.

I had a 30 day  stamp in my passport and have extended it for another 30 days

My initial application was finally accepted by Pattaya immigration - did it on my own - 6 visits ( one does not count as the office was shut )

I have a note attached now to my passport, after paying the 2000 bhat fee.

It says NON - O(RETIRE) and a date when to bring back the visa to get stamped.

Will this give me another 90 days stay?

What paperwork do I require to change this visa into a non O-A visa?

I have used the income letter from the embassy for my application

I have police check form and medical

You you will get a 90 day non immigrant O visa stay and normally during the last 30 days of that stay you use TM7 form to apply for a one year extension of stay.  You do not get O-A visas in Thailand and will not need medical/police report.  You will need that Embassy letter of income again, TM7, fee of 1,900 baht and copies of passport/pages and often proof of residence - anything else will vary by the office doing the extension of stay.  Once you have extension you would require a re-entry permit for any travel so up to you if you want to obtain that at the same time or not.
