Total figures for Krabi Airport in 2006 show increases over 2005 and 2004 for passengers and freight but not the number of planes.

<p> The figures just released by the Department of Civil Aviation who manage Krabi International Airport, show that the total number of aircraft movements, in and out, were 4,885 in 2006 or 44% more than 2005, before the airport became international but also when it was badly affected by the tsunami aftermath, but still 20% less than 2004, which was the peak year before the tsunami. The total number of passengers, in & out plus transiting, & on both international & domestic flights, was 547,384 in 2006 or 75.7% more than 2005, or 14.5% more than 2004. The total number of arriving-in passengers of about 274,000 or 81% more than 2005, or 19.5% more than 2004. The total freight handled was 1,060,314 kilograms in 2006, or 54% more than 2005, and 46% more than 2004.
