Is it different ownership or what is it?? Happy for your input guys... glegolo
KhunBENQ
What I read is that the green/yellow taxis are privately owned, driven by "owner" (bought on finance). Somewhat plausible as during holidays I always see some Bangkok taxis parked in the neighborhood here in the village. Other taxis belong to companies that rent them on a day to day basis to drivers. The drivers pay a fixed amount per shift/day and cash in the fares for themselves. I might stand corrected, just what I remember having read. jackdd
First link if you Google it: https://www.amusingplanet.com/2014/03/bangkoks-multi-colored-taxis.html The single-color are company taxis, personal taxis in cooperation or alliance and rental company taxis. These color include bright green, bright sky blue, red, orange, yellow, blue, pink, purple, violet and tan. The bi-colored taxis are in 3 kinds including yellow-green, red-blue and yellow-orange. The yellow-green are the personal private taxi. The red-blue are the rental taxi. The yellow-orange are the company taxi.

These color include bright green, bright sky blue, red, orange, yellow, blue, pink, purple, violet and tan. The bi-colored taxis are in 3 kinds including yellow-green, red-blue and yellow-orange. According to that garbage, "The single-color are company taxis, personal taxis in cooperation or alliance and rental company taxis". It then goes on to contradict itself with..."The yellow-green are the personal private taxi. The red-blue are the rental taxi. The yellow-orange are the company taxi". So the personal taxis, rental taxis and company taxis are single colour and also bi-colour! Brilliant.

moontang
I think I may start using green yellow, to support owner operator. Seems like they have more at stake, than the solid ones.
