REUTERS/Osman Orsal/File Photo DUBAI (Reuters) - A Saudi prosecutor has asked for the death penalty for five of 11 suspects held over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the country's consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2, the state news agency SPA reported on Thursday. The call came during the first court hearing in the Khashoggi case, which has badly hurt the kingdom's international reputation and strained its relations with Western countries. -- © Copyright Reuters 2019-1-3

sweatalot Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 What about the the suspect who most likely ordered the murder?? 1
anon7867763 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Shows what being an arse licking loyal subject to an <deleted> can bring. They deserve all they get. Arse lickers get no sympathy from me.
anon4546543 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 The Kingdom of Saud finds itself in a bind. How is it the the US routinely abducted, murdered, created jails of horror in Iraq and got away with it. Created secret camps in Thailand, Israel and built a camp in Cuba where detainees still have no recourse to judicial justice. And all that Saud did was what US taught it. Murdered a journalist. So what. The US president himself said he could shoot someone down in cold blood and get away with it. OK, so now we get rid of the evidence. And still everyone is overwrought. Westerners, they are so unpredictable! 2

Cryingdick Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Well they have that new PR guy. I am sure this can have a positive spin put on it.
sammieuk1 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 On the bright side Wilkinson sword profits will be up????
spidermike007 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 The entire world knows, that trying these henchmen, while guilty, is a ruse. It reminds me of the poor Burmese chaps on Dark Tao, being tried for the murder committed by the headman's son, Nomsod. Except these Burmese guys were totally innocent. If the Saudis were serious about justice, they would be trying MBS. But, we all know he is untouchable, and above the law. That is OK. He has already been tried in the court of public opinion, and found guilty. He has virtually no prestige or gravitas remaining. We all know he is a gangster thug. And we all know the countries that refuse to condemn him are weak, feckless, and bought and paid for. 1
DM07 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Makes you almost feel sad for the guys! Especially since everybody knows, who is the real culprit and that this monster will never face justice! ????
