I recently watched a video where a woman said to never use an agency because they pad the rental amount by a couple of thousand baht.  Since I am not the walk around and knock on doors type of guy, does anyone know if what she said is a fact?

Yes some do,and it can be more than a couple of thousand THB,

depending on rental amount.

If you are looking to rent a house,choose the area you would like

to live in,and look around, you should see houses with signs on

the gates ,or lamp posts,if you cannot speak Thai you better take

someone with you who does.

 

But you are say you are not a walk around and knock on doors,

type of guy,  then, your only real option is to use an agent,and

all that can come with,up to you.
