BANGKOK — Educators should adapt themselves to the fast-paced technological world, the junta leader said Wednesday during his Teachers’ Day address.

At the Teachers’ Day event, Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha offered education staff nationwide a slogan which he said encouraged teachers to adjust and incorporate technology into education.

 . . . offered education staff nationwide a slogan . . .

Slogan, where's this secretive slogan that Thailand's god of everything is offering to teachers to help them teach better?

Ah, there it is . . . you've got to have the savvy to follow the link . . . well, this piece is about the technological world, so come on TV posters; get your technological socks on. Here it is, but I warn you, take a deep breath 'cos it is pretty gob-smackingly powerful in its message . . . .

“Good teachers, good students. Developing and stepping forward toward technology,”

See what I mean? No wonder we haven't seen him around since his Children's Day excitement. Since must have taken all of 2-days for pin-brain Prayuth to come up with. And what did last weekend's opinion poll say about him being the runaway favourite in the next PM stakes? Yes, true, but opinions do change and he might just do that. Do what? Don't tell me you want the secretive word as well. It's the 'f' word . . . appropriately.

Most Thai teachers fail in their own subjects

June 9, 2010 BANGKOK (AFP) -- High school test results in Thailand have revealed a failure rate of more than 80 percent in mathematics, biology and computer studies -- among the teachers.

It just keeps getting more sad

There was a Free Computer Tablets for schoolchildren campaign over 10 years ago.
