This seems to be a different problem to the normal ones we hear daily. It’s not drunks and drugs or ladles of the night problems. It’s a religion problem and certain people are apparently taking over certain towns and islands . Like Paî , Samui, Koh Phangan, setting up religious communities and schools , all illegal by the way. The many land deals they have organized, all being operated from Israel, hotels with no staff, key operated, etc etc has become too much. It’s got worse very quickly, and looks very much like organises crime, which is why the government is stepping in. Apart from the obvious, there is the behavior complaints from many restaurants /shops and rudeness. There is that same problem in other countries like Bali, UK etc. I find it very strange this « invasion », why ? And there is the question of how some of them have have Thai Nationality. Since all the time I’ve spent in Thailand, I have met only one French retired doctor married to a Thail doctor , in which he has managed to get the Nationality, and that after many years living in Thailand , retiring from the French army abroad. There is an obvious problem that should be looked into seriously. Seems to me the Thais have understood.
