Counterfeit Goods Being Sold on Beach Road

There have been a lot of complaints from tourists to Police regarding counterfeit products being sold at extortionate rates in and around Pattaya.

On the 22nd of February at 8.30 pm Police with legal representatives from well known foreign product brands such as Louise Vuitton raided street stalls and shops along Pattaya 2nd Road and Beach Road.

A total of 713 pieces of counterfeit merchandise was seized including caps, wallets, purses, bags, shoes and scarves and 6 vendors were arrested.

All of them were taken to Pattaya Police Station where they have been charged with selling counterfeit products.

I think the key words are 'sold at extortionate rates'

Also, 'taken to Pattaya Police station and then sold at a more resonable rates'

That should teach 'em.....No, really, that should teach them.

Most of the Louis Vuitton counterfeit bags are made so fast that the stitching is never straight..........easy to spot.............713 pieces of counterfeit is only a fraction of what is sold every minute on ebay..

Now come on lads, these tourists have spent a lot of money coming to Thailand in order to purchase cheap knock off goods to take back home and sell down the pub for a healthy profit. Paying over the odds is upsetting the delicate economic balance of trade and affecting their bottom line.

But that's an incredible haul for Beach and Second roads, 713 goods and 6 vendors. The ever vigilant BiB must be congratulated for their efforts to make Pattaya a "quality" tourist destination. :o

I remember watching anoither dodgy goods crackdown on the local TV about a year ago.

The chief BIB was standing in Mikes Shopping Mall standing in front of a huge pile of gear looking really cool.........in his fake Burberry jacket.

A lot of Fake women on beack road also they are called Chicks with dicks. :o
