Pyramid scheme couple re-arrested in Nakhon Ratchasima after fleeing ahead of fraud trial

A Thai couple in their late 20s have been arrested this week after having destroyed their ankle-fitted electronic monitoring (EM) devices in December and fleeing, so as to avoid an upcoming trial over their alleged online pyramid scheme.

Prayut assigns other members of Cabinet to act in place of four ministers resigning Tuesday

The deputy ministers of Industry and Commerce have been reassigned as acting ministers at the two ministries after Uttama Savanayana and Sontirat Sontijiirawong tendered their resignations in order to compete in the upcoming general election, Government Spokesman Putthipong Bunnagun said on Tuesday.

ABU DHABI (Reuters) - Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Asian soccer chiefs called on the Thai government to release footballer Hakeem Al Araibi as prosecutors in Bangkok on Tuesday acknowledged receipt of an extradition request from Bahrain.
