Police say they seized 180,000 fake cosmetic products worth Bt300 million on Wednesday night from five locations in Bangkok and arrested two suspects for trying to sell the goods, Immigration Bureau chief Pol Lt-Gen Surachet Hakpal said.

Surachet, along with secretary general of the Food and Drug Administration Dr Thares Krassanai-Rawiwong, conducted a warranted search in Soi Sai Mai 13 in Sai Mai district that reportedly stored imported fake versions of Channel, Lancome, DKNY and Dior cosmetics for sale online.

At the Sai Mai building, officers said they confiscated 80,000 fake cosmetic products.

Surachet named the suspects as Renu Imlamai, 62, and Chanalert Rujipaiboon, 45, from the Thai-US collaboration to crackdown on fake goods that violate copyright and intellectual property law.

Plenty to be seen on the sidewalks of Sukhumvit under the pavement rent collecting noses of the police. Also with my keen eye for detail I noticed that sex toys and related accessories are still openly on display.

In other Nana news that long established pharmacy near Bully's is closing the doors......after 49 years the proprietor tells me. That Nana landmark should bring back some memories for a few TVN members who maybe needed remedial and enhancing medication from the glory days of the long gone past.

Was in Bangkok a month or so ago, and noticed the pharmacy was nearly empty. Yes, another little piece of the old times fades into the mist.

I would never dream of spending thousands on a Rollex .  If I couldn't borrow one off my dead friend, Thai style, I may buy a 50$ one off a street vendor. To say Rollex has lost thousands because of this

is a lie because I was never a customer in the first place. Same goes for the rest of that junk.

Interesting  Naturally someone who has a real Rolex would not be likely to buy a fake one, other than as a novelty item.  The copies are so bad, I assume everyone knows that real Rolex watches are not being sold on the street.
