Anthony Ryan, 17, met Southgate in 2014 when the-then under-21 football boss coached at his former school in Bradford. Anthony was killed last month when his motorbike hit a van in Phuket — and a letter from Southgate was read out at his funeral. It said he wanted to write after being told of the “incredibly sad news”.
