I have a friend who missed his last 90 day report las week.

He will be leaving the country in a few days through the new airport.

Does anyone have experience with immigration at the airport checking to see if you have complied with the 90 day reporting rule? If they do, can the failure-to-report fine be paid onsite?

No checks up to now. Should there be, however, a note from previous 90-day-report, I would take it out just to avoid that the officer gets an idea, when seeing the expired date. Keep it seperately. Actually, did this for my wife's passport, missed the date because the p/port was with some embassy to get a visa. That was in December 06.

I know quite a few expats who have never heard of nor done the 90 day reporting. Presume their company does it for them? I also know one whose company didn't do it for him, was here a year and a half on a work permit, then a tourist visa and never did it once. No issue.
